Donations for Gardens

Thanks to generous donors, we have a variety of free items for community and school garden groups. Please contact us at (802) 861-4769 if your garden can use any of the following items. They can be picked up in Burlington.

  • Large planters for container gardening donated by Gardener’s Supply.
  • Book: Organic Gardening (not just) in the Northeast: A Hands-On Month-by-Month Guide by Henry Homeyer, donated by Vermont Public Radio.

If you have tools, seeds, plants, wheelbarrows, benches, shed, or other garden supplies that you would like to donate, please contact us.

Free Seeds For Gardens!

We have a variety of vegetable, flower, and herb seeds from our friends at High Mowing Organic SeedsGardener’s Supply, and American Meadows available to Vermont school and community garden groups. Submit your request today and receive a big bundle of seeds along with seed starting tips and other resources for your garden project.  Click here to request seeds. The seed bundles will be mailed in early March 2017.

In 2015, thanks to High Mowing Seeds, Gardener’s Supply and KidsGardening.org, VCGN distributed more than 11,000 packets of seeds to garden groups all over the state. Click here to learn more.
