What We Do

The Vermont Garden Network encourages, supports, and sustains a dynamic statewide network of gardens where people live, learn and work.  Our people and programs:

  • TEACH people how to start and grow gardens at home, in school and in community
  • TRAIN garden leaders and educators to maintain these spaces
  • CONNECT local garden leaders to resources – and most importantly, to each other
  • PROVIDE garden and nutrition education to children and adults across Vermont
  • ADVOCATE for community-based food systems that are fair and just
  • FUND garden projects (nearly 300 over the past 12 years: see past grants)
